BURGLAR ALARM

Gary I like yours better than the one I got. Do you have a link as to where to get that sign?
|
Only in Floyd V.A. a metal craftsman made it for me Gary

911---Government sponsored prayer......

When seconds count, police are only minutes away...
Depend on nobody but yourself! |
Dean, current response times in Detroit are around 20 minutes. That must give Detroit inner city residents a real warm feeling.
|
In that 20 min it gives the other gang members time to strip their victims of weapons and drugs.
In the words of Sgt Schultz "I know nothing". I won't go to Detroit, Flint Saginaw without the Kimber. My theory is "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it". |
Same for me in Syracuse. Routinely carry a Sauer & Sons semi in a leather belly pack. Bout 6 months ago, a gentleman was walking down a street there when two kids, one 13 and the other 15, came up to him. They were going to play the local, police described, "knockout game" with him. He was unaware. The 13 year old ran up to him and hit him with his best shot. It did not work so the 15 year old knocked the man down and kicked him to death. Both were arrested some days later and the trials just got over. The 13 year old will have some sort of supervised release with no criminal record. The 15 year old will have his record expunged when he turns 18 if he does not get into any more trouble. This "knock out game" is the now thing with the Syracuse gangs.
|
And if you shoot a kid, even in self-defense, you're in a world of trouble and legal expense with no guarantee of acquittal.
|
A 15 year old was just arrested in Flint along with another example of Human Debris for beating a homeless man to death. They are charged with robbery, torture and murder and if convicted will spend the rest of their lives in prision.
IMHO they should be introduced to a little Green Technology 15 feet of rope and a 20 foot fall! |
Bill, the current average police response time seems to actually be 58 minutes.

Snap, you are correct. I also believe those times get longer every year. Thanks for the update.
|
Glad I live in the boonies, people do go missing once in a while, it is prudent not to get to close to a distillery, and also theft is regarded around here as the ultimate sin! Gary

the signs are fun, but, in this twisted world I could see a lawyer turning it against you, especially in the civil suit,
remember - you have to survive three times you have to survive the event you have to survive the criminal proceedings (at least a grand jury) you have to survive the civil suit, and anything that remotely looks like you were looking for a chance to shoot will be magnified and misrepresented. |
I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. If you have to shoot make sure your story will be the only one heard.

5 shots just as fast as I could squeeze the trigger from my Kimber Ultra Carry 45ACP. Let the burglar beware. distance was 20ft.
|
Nice group....:)
|
a lot better grouping than i got with a 45 back in 67 when uncle sam said he needed me..i think i coulda throwed that old 45 better than i could shoot it... charlie
|
Rick, You are absolutely right about the three survival times, To bad, seems this world is going to hell in a handbag! Gary

Update on the 15 year old kid, now 16, who kicked the man to death in Syracuse. He will be supervised and secured for no more than 18 months. While they did not say, I assume the "secured" will be in some sort of a detention home, not a prison.

Regarding these brutal beatings in the last few weeks if they were my father, brother, child or any close relative I would like the option of taking a Louisville slugger and personally give them a wood shampoo instead of watching the state diddle around for 15-20 years incarcerating them and giving them 3 squares, cable tv and an exercise room. Now that would be justice in my world and quite satisfying I may add. I guess that's the Italian in me talking.
|
Gentleman,
Let us keep politics out of the PGCA forum. Thank you, Mark |
I only have two Louisville Sluggers in my collection. One is a 34 that I used all the way through my boyhood baseball career. It was a little big for me when my Dad first bought it for me about 1953 or 1954, but I choked up and grew into it just fine. It developed a bit of a rattle in it a few years into its use, but I haven't been able to feel the rattle for years. When I first felt the rattle, I tried to test it for awhile, but was never able to break it. It is a very unusual bat with a very thin grip area. My second Slugger is a 33 that I used in First Army competition. I guess it really didn't belong to me, but I developed an attachment to it and took it home after the 1969 season. It has no US markings on it, so I guess it is not a collectors item.

I thought my small Slugger collection and my short Army baseball career would get more attention. Oh, well.
|
I liked it Bill, baseball has become a hot topic in our house with the boys playing T-ball and the Red Socks winning the World Series again. The win came a good time to motivate my boys.
On the original topic, I have a funny sign my friend made me that says "Due to the high price of ammo, no warning shots will be fired". |
