Brian Dudley is restoring a 3 frame DH 10 gauge for me and one of the improvements is a new set of no. 3 frame 12 gauge barrels, so I am looking forward to trying it out.

nice, keep us posted on that job, He just received my grade 2 NID Ithaca 10 ga today to get it ready for this fall, He does great work from what I have seen!

Mills Morrison 07-12-2013 10:15 PM

Photos will be forthcoming when the project is complete. She was a real wreck and needed almost everything. The finished product should be nice.

Eldon Goddard 07-12-2013 10:45 PM

Are you having a set of 12 ga barrels fitted or are you having a set made from scratch?

Mills Morrison 07-13-2013 08:24 AM

I found an orphan pair on Ebay

calvin humburg 08-01-2013 07:34 PM

Pete Lester 08-05-2013 04:28 AM

Yup, 5 crows and 200+ hand swatted mosquitos. I doubled a couple of times.

Destry L. Hoffard 08-05-2013 01:33 PM

All the rain we've had around here has made this a really rough year for mosquitos in Michigan. I'm looking forward to the opening of squirrel season but I'm also buying stock in OFF.

charlie cleveland 08-09-2013 08:27 PM

heh destrey leave a can of off for me too..the skeeters are bad down in my neck of the woods too at squirl season... charlie

Gary Carmichael Sr 08-10-2013 08:30 AM

Destry, Will OFF take the finish off wood I have heard it would but certainly have not tried it to see, think I will try on an old stock that I have that is broken to see what happens, Gary

it eats modern fly lines - so i would not be surprised, but then maybe only the newer synthetic finishes

Dean Romig 08-10-2013 09:54 AM

I use Buzz-Away almost exclusively. You can order it online. It is all natural and very effective against skeeters and black flies. It doesn't last but about three hours, but simply reapply if you need to. Anything with DEET gives me a severe headache and nausea so I can't use many products out there. We use Buzz-Away while fly-fishing and there is no effect on the fly lines.

charlie cleveland 08-10-2013 11:55 AM

dean theres a few places i ve hunted if it was not a 100 percent deet the mosquitoes would run you out of the woods.. charlie

Destry L. Hoffard 08-14-2013 06:34 PM

OFF will make the finish sticky for sure, I'm sure it would remove it if it got too much on a gun. I don't put it on my hands except for the backs.

I just got done looking at those mosquito pictures that Flanders posted. I'll never complain again......

Yes , shot a few on the Maine opener, will try it more when the crows start to show up, as of now I am shooting my 2 frame EH and I am shooting it well I might add , I did try some of your 3 1/2 in. 12 ga. cut down to 2 7/8 ths loaded with 1 3/8 ths oz of bismuth 2's, 32 grs bluedot win. 114 orange wad and roll crimp. test shot showed a 75 % pattern , looks good for geese in the 12 ga. I shoot BB's in the 10 ga. on geese, scott

charlie cleveland 08-27-2013 08:47 PM

i too like bb s and no 2 s this was my favorite turkey load for many years but atlas no 2 shot is biggest thing they allow in miss. now for turkey.. them bb s will flatten even a big goose and a good piece out there too.. i like the blue dot powder for heavy loads .. charlie
