Parker Market Back?

After watching this auction close, I have to wonder whether this was just an aberration in the market place, or a sign that the Parker market has come roaring back? I see a 12 gauge DHE with limited eye appeal that has been restocked rather crudely, with no SSBP, and a trigger guard that started life on a pistol grip stock. Perhaps I'm missing something about this gun, or perhaps its a sign that the Parker buyers' market is now over.

I know! I was watching that auction early on myself. I stopped paying attention a while ago when it went over $1500. Did not see what it ended at till now. WAY too much for the gun given the incorrect restock and such.

A gun like this is not part of the "Parker Market".

My son sold a Lefever on GB about a month ago that had been restored, he listed it as no reserve and a penny starting price. I figured he would be fortunate to get $1400. it sold for $3750. Yea never know but two bidders wanted the gun. I have sold a few guns recently they seem to move quickly if market priced, better than 2007-2008.

Someone who dos't know anything about parkers bought that gun. Och Hope it is not a sign of things to come.

Maybe now is a good time to unload all those Wells Fargo Parker coach guns.

Not too familiar with the Wells Fargo scams but do 'they' go so far as to forge receipts for guns sold by Well Fargo?

Interesting... This DHE is back up on the market by the same seller. Maybe there was some buyers remorse.

The key phrase in the sellers post on this gun is "all original pieces". underscore "pieces" I guess technically the seller might have been correct. Got to read the fine print.

I think LeFever's are getting popular. There have been a couple that have caught my eye and which I hoped would have gone relatively un-noticed but they didn't.

I'm about to re-list a couple of guns I listed last fall (10/32 DH and a 12/30 DH) and a high condition 20-ga Trojan and I hope the market responds favorably.

I just purchased a Parker Repro 20 ga DHE in 98% condition for $2800 on GunsAmerica. I don't think that demonstrates the market is back. And I do see many other repros for sale on the various gun web sites for a lot more that don't seem to be moving much. Not sure if the market is back. Buyers are still looking for bargains and quality guns. Maybe handguns are selling 'fast and loud' but I'm not sure Parkers are selling any faster these past 2-3 years. could be wrong. (wouldn't be the first time either)

"Original pieces" reminds me of the time I got out of work and drove 6 hours to New Jersey to look at a fastback Mustang, in the ad they mentioned "new Ford fenders". They were new to the car, but definitely not new. I got home just about in time to go back to work, without the car.
