GHE 20 with 28" damascus barrels, PG,DT.
|
Trojan 12 ga. 30" that had been totally redone. New buttstock & forend, re-blued barrels and re-casehardened. Everything that could be replaced or redone was addressed. Excellent workmanship. Zero collector value, but that was reflected in the price.

Mine is a $50 Dollar Grade 12 or maybe 11 gauge. Lots of honest wear covering up an all original (save one replacement hammer) 32" uncheckered Parker. Have it in line once some other projects move out of the way.

Fred, more pictures please.

The gun is a 12 with a 1 frame and 30" Acme bbls., having been updated and ejectorized from its original Damascus (sorry, I don't have them). Weighs about seven pounds. The pic is the only one I found in my files; so, for Calvin and Chris, I took a few more. Some day, maybe I'll get the light and focus right.

I remember shooting that gun at the now defunct UP shoot last year. What a great gun Fred. That's one I would go broke to pay for. What a beauty!
|
That's a spectacular gun all around, but what piece of wood!

Nice 12ga

My most recent Parker is a new, unfired VH. As for my last Parker, you'll have to check with my widow.
|
I believe Edgar has it correct. My last Parker will only be known by my widow. My latest Parker is my BHE 12ga.
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...psfa0d45ce.jpg I hope to add a few to my budding collection-----then there is my Fox wish list----Oh my I will run out of money!!! |
My most recent Parker is a 12 bore VH 30 inch bought right here on this forum. It came with a 1919-1920 South Carolina State hunting license that the seller found behind the buttplate. The license cost was $1.50 and was made out to an eleven year old boy, Glenn Augustus Kaminer, in Gadsden, South Carolina (@ 20 miles from my home). The research letter that I recieved from PGCA stated that it was originally ordered by Schoverling, daly & Gales, 302 Broadway, New York on November 21, 1904 and shipped on November 26, 1904 (pretty quick response) According to Parker Order Book No. 64, it was a VH hammerless, 12 gauge. It featured Vulcan Steel barrels with a length of 30 inches. The requested chokes were RH cylinder, LH modified.
The price was $50.00 According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 89, the gun was returned on November 14, 1913 by the Virginia and Carolina Hardware Co., Richmond VA and to be sent to H .Y. Kaminer, Gadsden, South Carolina. The order was to restock and repair action and locks. The price was $12.70. I went to Gadsden last week after visiting the Congaree National Monument with my daughter's third grade class. I checked with the post office and the elementary school and did not find the Kaminer name, although the principal at the school said that she would continue to check. There is not much left in Gadsden (it was a railroad town with farming all around) I would like to find Mr. Kaminer's son or grandson and show & tell him about the history of the gun whice I think is interesting. Best Regards, George |
My most recent purchase was a 20 gauge GH with 28' damascus barrels pistol grip stock dogs head butt plate 0 frame Gary
|
My most recent purchase was last week and was a 16 ga. 0-Grade Lifter 0-frame with lightening cuts.
|
Edgar and Craig;
Just in case and God forbid please send me your widows contact info. so I may avoid the rush. I promise Edgar, I won't shoot the VH. |
Nice find Dean. I'm looking for a 16ga hammergun myself. I hope you bring it to Hausmanns.
|
I'll definitely bring it to Ernie's. It's not for the long shots but should be murder on the closer fast-flushers.

My most recent purchase is an original 1935 VH 20 Gauge:)

My last Parker was about the last Parker lifter, Austin Hogan's great P Grade 32" #3 frame 12. It is the only lifter I've seen with the P Grade stamp. It weighs just under nine pounds and is a great competition gun. I had been chasing that gun since before Austin owned it. He would not sell it to me but I was satisfied to know where it was.

I think my last one was my 28" CHE damascus 12ga.
|
Old beat up VH purchased for a sum of 200 dollars. The only real draw back I see so far other than the amount of wear is a non matching fore arm. I doubt I will be able to find the original.
|
My last one(and i hope its not) is a VHE, 3 frame ,32 in. F/F, str. griped 12 ga. can't wait to try it on some ducks and geese :corn: scott

The last Parker, and one I have yet to see, is a PH hammerless, 12 gauge. Twist steel barrels with a length of 30 inches. The serial number is 93700 and it was shipped in 1900. I purchased the gun on GB the beginning of April and had it sent to my brother's house in Colorado. He has shot it and says it shoots great and fits him well. He also says the bores are spotless. As we are twins if a gun fits him it will also fit me as well. I am looking forward to shooting it this Fall.
Great thread, Charlie Dennis |
My PH 12 gauge with 26 1/4" damascus barrels made in 1916. Its currently up with Mr. Dudley being cleaned up a bit and should find its way back home soon. Kinda neat in that it has reversed chokes and still a good bit or original case coloring. Barrels are in really nice condition.

My last is a VHE 12 double trap...30" vent rib, single trigger, non auto safety & beavertail forend
ddp |
My God Dwight that looks like the interior of my gun safe! Nice double trap.
|
thanks , you can never have too many !!
ddp |
Richard, is that the gun you had down here hunting when Murphy kicked me in the arce.
|
My one and only. BHE...minus the E. My hunting partner doesn't like the ejected shells flying around the blind, so the gun is now an extractor.
It is a good duck gun with F/F 30" barrels and nice balance. This last season the gun fell over and the ivory bead busted off. My wife glued a white pin head on the stump so I was able to shoot ducks for the balance of last season. My new eyeglass prescription and hat-pin sight will be a deadly combo this fall. Since these guns last forever, I only need one. |
