Pictures of GH

I have attempted to post photos of my Parkers in the past but each time I did a box would appear saying to download a program. When I clicked on the, "YES", to download the program nothing happened. I recently sent my computer out for repair and got it back yesterday. Although a couple of the issues are still there at least I THINK I am able to post photos here now. This is my test run of my first Parker, a 12 gauge GH with serial number 225497. According to the letter it was completed on August 2, 1928. Fortunately for me the stock configuration fits me perfectly with length 14 1/4 inches, drop at comb 1 1/2 and drop at heel 2 5/8 inches. When I shoot informal clay targets at my house I do better with this gun than any other. Though I have not broken 25 yet I have done 23. I also notice when I hit the clay pigeon with this gun it really powders them more than any other shotgun I own and that is a few. The chokes at improved modified and full seem to be right on. :)

Now we're talking. Don't we love it when a plan comes together.

Dennis, That is a wonderful gun. Congratulations!

That's a keeper. It's getting harder to find them that clean.

Dennis,
Very Nice, the G is my fav and that one would top the list. With the 28" barrels what the barrel wgt and gun wgt if I may ask. Great looking Gun Craig |
I want one !
|
Craig the barrel weight is 3-11 and the weight of the gun is 7-5. I carried it for quail last year with no luck but after half a day I wanted a 16 or a 20. For pheasant it worked great.
Thanks all for the compliments on the GH. It was my first Parker and one I really like. You were all correct when talking about Parkeritis. I own 4 of them now and will get some other photos out in the next couple of days. One I haven't even seen yet as it was sent to my other home in CO. Hopefully my brother will shoot it tomorrow. It is a PH with Twist steel 30 inch barrels made in 1899 on a #2 frame size. My other two are a 10 gauge hammer gun from 1884 and a 32 inch VH 12 gauge from 1906. Dennis |
You don't get much better than that GH when it comes to a gun that has use, but was well cared for and is still in great condition. Nice gun!
|
Bring that gun when you come see me Dennis!
|
Peter I will bring it and 3 more, 2 more 12's and a 10 for your perusal.
