John Davis Does It Again!
John Davis, shooting his beloved Parker Bros SA Single Barrel Trap Gun has once again won the Georgia State Championship in Singles competition. The antique gun, nearly 100 years old, broke 199 out of 200 targets serving her master well. The PGCA congratulates your outstanding accomplishment.

First, congratulations Team Parker. You guys are amazing.
The Parker SA really pulled her weight during this tournament. She started off in Thursday's Preliminary Singles event with a 99x100. Then in Friday's Singles Class Championship, she ran a 98x100. That was capped off today with the 199x200 in the State Singles Championship. She is an incredible gun. She ran the first 100 and then I dropped the third bird on the second post in the first box of the second 100 (that's a mouth full). But she managed to pull me through and run the remaining 92 birds. It was exhausting. |
Incredible! Great gun, great shooting! Congratulations again!
Congratulations John. Your dedication and proficiency will never cease to amaze me. Keep on keeping on.
Congrats John, you will probably be moved up to AA.
Way to go John !!!!!
Congratulations John!
John, try to stay out of AA. AA shooters don't seem to do too well, especially when you are there.
I was on the bubble. Had a rough spot during the cold months.
Way to go John. Great shooter and great gun make for great things.
Parker DHE, double triggers, straight stock: 94x100 in State Doubles Championship. Won Veteran Category. We were 2 birds off from a tie for Champion. Another great gun.
John, you give new meaning to the term”parkerizing”
CONGRATULATIONS, John!! Wonderful shooting! Get ready for the Champion of Champions event at the Grand! How about a photo of your trophy??
Congratulations
While Murphy says don’t go into AA I do not agree with that . It was always my intention to get as high as I could as quick as I could .

Congrats John. Certainly well deserved and the end result of a LOT of practice. Couldn't be happier for you !!

Great Shooting John! You need to be at The Grand on Monday so you can take the "Parker" to a Win in the Vintage Shoot. No one has ever won the event with a SBT...
See you at The Grand... Randy Davis |

I’m usually classified AA in Singles and A in Doubles. The gentleman doing the classifying was going strictly by what the computer showed to be my present average. I didn’t argue. I was more interested in category for the All American Points. Picked up a few of those as well.

An A class shooter breaks 199/200 in the State Championship! In PA we call that a "sandbagger"!! :rotf::rotf:
I wasn't going for Class. I was going for the WIN.
