My 2 VH 20 gauge Parkers. Goal for the year is more bird hunting

Rich Anderson 02-02-2019 09:34 PM

Nice going Mills and a straight grip gun to boot. Small bores rule:bowdown:
Now look for a sleek long barreled 20 with either 30's or better yet 32 inch tubes.

Mills Morrison 02-02-2019 09:40 PM

That is right. I need a Parker 20 with longer barrels and tighter chokes. My Fox 20 has full and mod chokes and is murder on wood ducks

Rich Anderson 02-02-2019 09:52 PM

They make fun clays guns as well. I have two 30 inch 20's and a 32 in Parkers and a 30 inch AE Fox. All are a blast on the clays course.

Mills Morrison 02-02-2019 09:58 PM

My 28 Parker does great on the clays course and close woodcock shots. How it does both I have no idea.

We go quail hunting on a prestigious Plantation later this week with the whole family. My mom is a closet anti gunner, but should still get both of these guns on birds. Nothing beats Morrison Pines though

Mills Morrison 02-02-2019 10:16 PM

Hoping to get my boy on some birds by the end of the season as well

charlie cleveland 02-03-2019 10:17 AM

fine looking 20 gauges mills....them boys will bring lots of birds down with them guns....charlie

Reggie Bishop 02-03-2019 10:46 AM

Parker 20s are addictive! Nice ones Mills!

Mills Morrison 02-03-2019 01:15 PM

Thanks guys!

Rich Anderson 02-03-2019 04:49 PM

The way I see this is you need one more so all the Mills men can have a 20:)

charlie cleveland 02-03-2019 04:58 PM

2nd cobbs statement....charlie

Mills Morrison 02-03-2019 05:54 PM

I've actually got 6 Parker 20's.

Rich Anderson 02-03-2019 06:03 PM

Thats a good start:)

Mills Morrison 02-03-2019 06:16 PM

Yeah, missing are a long barrel tight choke one, a few higher grades. Need the 16s and 28s to catch up some. Also a half frame is sorely lacking

Oh, and this is not a wtb at this time. Need to restock the war chest

Rich Anderson 02-04-2019 07:31 AM

You have until the Southern to restock that war chest:rotf: There are alternative ways to purchase......just ask me how I know:whistle:

Mills Morrison 02-04-2019 08:03 AM

That is the idea and it is right around the corner

Dean Romig 02-04-2019 08:33 AM

Watch out Mills - COB will have you selling your blood to finance that war chest.

.

Mills Morrison 02-04-2019 09:19 AM

That's ok

Rich Anderson 02-04-2019 09:34 AM

It's not your blood actually it's the plasma. There are other ways for fast cash and lot's of it. I call it O.P.M. other peoples money:rotf:

Careful Mills he is really good at this.... and that will be your downfall if you listen to Rich, trust me on this one..........

But on this thought, a nice G 28 gauge might be found at the Southern, maybe forget what I said above.

Mills Morrison 02-04-2019 10:39 AM

Sounds like Rich has experience with these kind of things

Rich Anderson 02-04-2019 12:00 PM

I most certainly do and will teach you the ways:whistle:

Gary Carmichael Sr 02-04-2019 12:00 PM

Mills those are two fine guns and I am sure they will earn their keep so to speak, Hope you can put your boys on some birds, don't know who will be the proudest them or you! Gary

G 28 ga. at the Southern?? Tell us more!

Mills Morrison 02-04-2019 03:03 PM

There was a GH 28 at the Southern a few years ago for around $9,000. Not sure what was wrong with it

You should have bought it.............

Rich Anderson 02-04-2019 06:43 PM

The Southern is full of surprises. Lots of opportunity to stimulate the economy of our great nation:)

Did not have the money at the time.

Rich Anderson 02-05-2019 02:06 PM

A prime example of where creative financing is required.

Mills Morrison 02-06-2019 09:53 PM

Dad bought a day and a half of quail hunting at a nearby Plantation this weekend, so the whole family is going. Mom is a closet anti gunner and is trying to sabotage the thing but should still be fun. It still won't be as good as Morrison Pines which is hands down the best

The horror of it....I've seen her shoot and go quail hunting:shock:

I know of a very nice VHE 20 skeet gun excellent condition and it's in the serialization book. Time for lesson one in OPM, other peoples money, oh and it's very reasonable. I bought one at the Southern last year a vent rib gun or I'd be on this in a heartbeat.

Mills Morrison 02-07-2019 12:39 PM

Not Julia, my Mom. Julia is as far from an anti gunner as you can get

Rich Anderson 02-07-2019 12:51 PM

Whew you had me for a moment there. Now back to the skeet gun, everybody needs a 20ga skeet gun. There's no better quail gun.

Mills Morrison 02-07-2019 12:55 PM

I have a 28 gauge skeet gun. Where is the 20?

Rich Anderson 02-07-2019 01:00 PM

I'll PM you the info. I have A 28 as well.

Eric Eis 02-07-2019 02:18 PM

Look out Mills, pretty soon he will having you sell blood............:rotf::rotf:

Mills Morrison 02-07-2019 02:19 PM

There's a market for blood? Where?

Rich Anderson 02-07-2019 06:37 PM

Look for a business called Bio-Life. They take the plasma only. I've financed more than one gun selling a renewable resource :rotf:
