bear with me . 1885 12 ga 26 '
" bbls . trying to find out what grade it is |
Looks like a 0 grade or maybe a 1 grade
Grade 0
. |
thanks guys for your input . what would a ballpark be on the value? the bores are rough on this gun .
Can't read serial number well but if it is 38696, cut from 30" to 26" according to book, grade 0. What is the number and do they look cut? Probably cylinder and cylinder; $500 +/-.
they are cyl /cyl.bbls have not been cut
If that is the correct number the Parker Serialization book shows it left as a 30".

thanks a bunch for your time . so , evidently these bbl are shortened . i did read in the blue book (i think) that some of these guns were made with 26 " cyl/cyl bores, and there was a premium added to value .
IMHO the barrels have been shortened
IMHO too.
. |
I agree with Dean and Mills, those barrels were "Cut", period.
ok fellas , thanks! do you guys agree with Mr. Earleys appraisal?($500+/-)
Seems a bit high to me. I would not pay that for it.
