The DELLGRECO Fund---2012 Annual Report

Read the advice from any of the legendary investment gurus like, Lynch, Gabelli and Buffett and undoubtedly you will hear some variation on that familiar theme known as: Dollar Cost Averaging. "Regularly investing an equal monetary amount, periodically, over an extended time-frame," is how most define this age-old strategy. In short, patience is a virtue and the tortoise beats the hare, 6 out of 7 days a week. Hmmmmmm.

Feeling somewhat skeptical, I decided to give this theory a test drive, so in Jan of 2010, I officially launched, "The DeLgreco Fund".

Here's how it worked:

Every time I witnessed that fine, family name, DelGrego (or Del Grego) spelled incorrectly (OK, butchered) in an email, magazine, book, Internet post, gun classified, press release or auction description, I tossed 5 cents in a jar.

Well "hinge-pins", I'm happy to report that after only three short years, I had enough "coin" put away to 1) buy this wispy, little pawn-shop Fox......

2) renew my membership in, The Second Finest Gun Collecting Club in the World (wink-wink)

AND 3) please don't tell the IRS, but I still have enough left over to embark on my next ambitious project.............The Kautski ETF !!!!

Hey....don't get me wrong, I can mispell, misspel and mis-spell with the best of 'em, but what the hell is it with this name, that even experienced Parker folk often disembowel it??? I mean c'mon, it ain't exactly, "conscientious", "medieval", "accommodate" , "inoculate"
or "drunkenness". Perhaps, just unconsious drunkiness????

Goodnight Gracie. :bigbye:

Steve;
A few more scheckels tossed into the ole' jar might find you'll have enough to add a smallbore "hinge pin" gun to your collection. Nice Fox... What grade?:bigbye:

I am going to start going in every pawn store I can find if this is what they are carrying. What a nice looking gun.

I've found 3 of my Parkers in pawn shops. I know of at least 2 more, if only i could afford them.
I was gonna start an obamma fund but I didn't have that many pennies.:cuss:
I would have been rich.:banghead:

Man oh man, that's one helluva find for a Pawn Shop. I got lucky on a nice Sterlingworth 20ga that way once, but never a high condition Fox C Grade. Nice find Steve. I like your method of savings too, very unique.

Edited to say: And damn, is that a straight grip to boot?

Who coined the phrase, "life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun?". I first saw it several years ago on the Internet and thought the phrase was very profound. I see you've taken it to heart.

Yes Barkeep - I believe I'll have one of whatever the gentleman (OP) on the floor had... In fact, make mine a double!

And a twenty too... sheesh, some guys!
