Quick SN# Lookup

Before I order a letter & purchase the Parker, can someone lookup the basics for SN# 124646, sellers says it a 12ga GH with 26" barrels, but want to see if it's original.

Thanks-

Chris , Although the Book is usually correct Remember ,the Book isn't written in stone ! You may want to ask the seller for some pictures of the matting at the end where the Bead is located and the very end of the barrels as if you are looking right down the tubes ! If you aren't familiar with what to look for ,post them here and you will get experienced opinions on whether the Barrels are lopped or not ! Good Luck with your purchase ! Best ; Russ

Russ is right. The book might show set of barrels #1 and the gun may be sporting #2 barrels . The #1 barrels might be long gone or in our lost and found.

The book say no extras I would go by barrel matting and if there is a no 1 or 2 on the barrels if this is to be a two barrel set Check forend / lug

I kinda disagree because if the barrels are added after original manufacture, the book won't reflect that.
I have a two barrel VH that has numbered bbls but the book says on options. the bbls were added by remington and they are legit.
I have a friend with a 4 barrel set and it came from the factory with only one set.
Never say never.

I kinda agree but if the barrel matting is all the way and the barrels are short and I did not own the gun yet I dont think I would get a letter. Chris what does the Dealer say he thinks about the barrels ? If the gun is cheap thats a whole different story. Are the barrels Damascus ?

Too much money for a gun that had barrels cut, vent rib added and a couple of different sn's.
