Lever left of center
What is the fix for a lever that is left of center?
|
Steve, it's not really anything to worry about except if it's so far to the left that the lever actually wiggles. If you just want it centered you can can have the bolt and replaceable wear plate replaced.

I think just the wear plate replacement would do it.
|
And where would we find one of them? Of course, that's not the fix if there is no wear plate.
|
I got one from Brian a while back.
|
Steve, I think much of the remedy depends on whether or not you have a replaceable wear plate and if you do, which version. The later version has the recessed shoulders.

If the gun is not loose, leave it alone.

DelGrego has a bin full of them. However he will not sell parts.

His common reply to anyone calling for parts was that you had to make your own. I remember a guy telling me that he called there looking for a coil hammerless mainspring. He was told that they did not have any and that the guy would have to wind his own. BS |
I was at his shop probably 10 years ago now, he was very nice to me and he fitted a new locking plate to a Parker I had. He showed me all the bins full of parts, I would safely say he has over 1000 of them, and bins of many other parts. He also had parts for model 32 Remington O/U’s also.
