Gunsmith for barrel fitting
Can anyone recommend a gunsmith that I could have fit a set of barrels? Someone you may have used? Thanks.

Kirk had already contacted me.
Barrel fitting is not something I am looking to mess with at this time. |

Briley in Houston. Think it’s $500
|
Be careful with Briley. I just needed the fore end latch adjusted on a 28 ga repro barrel, and they charged me for a whole barrel fit. The face on was good before I sent it. They turned a $150. job into a $500 job. Moral to the story, get a price before you authorize the work. Billy

Dave Fjelline in CA is quite capable and his turnaround time is a couple of weeks rather than months or years.

I recenly purchased a 20/16 two barrell set off Guns International. The 16 gauge barrels are very well fit to the frame, but the forearm does not latch correctly. With the gun closed, the forearm is tight, but when opened the forearm is loose and the gun does not open completely unless it is forced. This causes problems with loading due to the shells hitting the reciever.
Is anyone familiar with this issue and or could suggest someone to properly fit the forearm? |
To the best of my knowledge our Friend Dave Fjelline is no longer taking in any work due to a health situation.
