Tried my nice new Roberts Industries 10 gauge shell trimmer ! Works quite nicely , thank you Mr.Roberts sir !!!!! I loaded a couple with a couple RST hulls and they all did very nicely although they’re maybe 1/16” difference in length which I may address later .

Tweaked it just a bit today so the length was more inline with the RST hulls . Put a shim under the blade that seems to have it about the same as the RST’s . They appear to load about the same crimpwise . Last pic shows an RST 2 7/8” hull on the left , an untweaked hull I cut yesterday in the middle and finally a hull I cut today after adding the shims .

Do they go BANG and break clays and kill birds consistently?
	..... isn't that all that really matters?? . |

Going to take enough 1 1/4 ounce 10’s for the events at Backwoods and enough 1 1/8 ounce for the same thing . I’ll start with the lighter load and should I loose confidence I’ll switch . But to answer your question if all I was worried about was breaking targets or killing feathered birds I’d shoot an O/U or an 11/87 :rotf: |

You are clamping the base down prior to cutting, right? Thought I had it set exactly at 2 7/8" per my trusty Stanley tape, but..........

I might go over to the club tonight and try a round or two of skeet . Loaded 28 with the SP-10 wad , 19 with the BPI wad and cards then six more with the BPI wad and red beans as the only spacers .

Clamp it down. It will be much easier and will render a more consistent cut. Ask me how l know :bigbye:
