Pulled trigger on a new 20ga

Well, after looking at lots of guns, finally decided on a FAIR Iside Tarataruga Premium in 20ga with 28" barrels.

Read lots of reviews, etc, plus comments from this site.

Should be here next week I hope.... 6lbs ish, 14.5" LOP.

Interested to hear what you think once you handle it a bit. Please post a follow up!

Yes please review gun, trigger pulls, point of impact for both barrels, drop, is it available in 28ga 30 inch ?

I have the same gun in 28 gauge in the plainer version, the Isde. Exact same guns but mine without the false side plates and is just case colored, and mine has double triggers. Love the gun but be prepared for the LOP to be more in the vicinity of 15.5". Mine was advertised as 14.5" but was an inch longer. Had it cut and an old English pad put on. The only negative that I have is the cheap trigger guard tang. It is the same length as it would be on a pistol grip stock. I am going to have a longer tang put on mine. I just looks wrong the way it comes. Mine weighs 5.3 Lbs

Per there website, they are doing one with 30" tubes... Finding one in 30" may be a challenge though.

As for drop, per chuck hawks review of this gun.... drop at comb approximately 1-1/4 inches, the drop at heel approximately 2-3/16 inches, slight cast off for right hand shooter.

I will measure it when I get it.... As long as it's at least the 14.5" I will probably like it. I did see where you can get different thickness walnut butt plates for it if you want to change LOP just a tad.

One of the things that had me interested in this gun, is it's described as a 20ga that handles like a 28.... We'll see bout that. :-)

Another interesting read, comparing Beretta and FAIR guns.

So, picked up the gun today....

LOP measured out to 14 5/8". Gun weighs prezactly 5lb 12.1 OZ.

One thing, I bought the gun from Elk County Ammo & Arms.... The gun pictured on G.I. must be a stock photo, as it's not the gun I got. I am happy with the gun I received, but I think they should clearly state that in their G.I. Ad. When I talked to them, the guy made it sound like I was getting gun in photo, as I asked him if wood on other side of stock matched the wood in the photo in their ad, and all he said was yes.....

If these storms quit rocking us, I am hopeful to take out on the trap field tomorrow and shoot a couple boxes through it. Seems to fit me very good, and it's very light from some of the guns I am used to.

6 lbs 12.1 oz is a far cry from 6 ish advertized. I would not be happy!
