SSBT on a EH
Looking at a 0 frame EH 16 with 4 croill damascus.
The wood on the gun is nice, wear looks right, checkering definitely grade 2, but the stock sports a SSBT, that looks original, by fit, finish and wear. My question is, how unusual would this combo be? Gun is not in the book. |
It would be out of the ordinary. If a letter could be had, I would think there would be mention of it.
Keep in mind that grade 2 and grade 3 checkering is the same. No drop points on the cheeks? |
I have a quality 2 10 gauge lifter with a skeleton steel butt plate. It is mentioned in the letter and there is a charge for the upgrade.

I thought the EH designation was for 10 gauge guns only(?) It would be really cool to have such a 16.

My mistake, it is a G grade

Looks honest to me.

Right as rain!

Looks good to me. Order a letter if you have not already.

I have a beautiful little 1 1/2 frame ejector 12, GHE, with Damascus barrels and skeleton butt, English walnut, 159,000 range, all features mentioned in the PGCA letter. By "not in the book" do you mean the Serialization Book? There is life beyond the Serialization Book, like a PGCA letter giving order book specifications.

Twenty-gauge Lifter probably a Grade-0 with a skeleton steel butt plate but no checkering and no engraving.
