28 gauge
For those of you that own 28’s built on both the 0 and 00 frames , is there a noticeable difference in the feel if they have relatively the same dimensions ?
|
There is a very noticeable difference in the two in my opinion. I have owned both.

For sure. The 0 frame feels pretty beefy with those little 28g tubes.

Hmmmm

The 0 frame 28 carries much like a light 20. The 00 frame is light and faster handling, and very lithe.

I like both frame size 28s. The 0 frame is a very enjoyable gun to carry and shoot. But the difference is noticeable no doubt.

Looking forward to seeing pics of it, congrats!

Neither is better. I prefer the 28 on the 00-frame but that’s just my preference.
The 0-frame is the standard frame size for the 20 gauge. Putting a set of 28 gauge barrels on the 0-frame was an afterthought. But this gave way to the development of the 00-frame dedicated 28 gauge frame. An absolute delight to carry all day and still come up and swing like a part of your body. Yeah, I’ll take a 28 on the 00-frame any day. . |
