16 ga. barrel weight to length ?
Recently came across a 1 frame 16 ga. with 3lbs 14 weight stamping.
I haven't before seen a 16 with this heavy of a raw weight. I am more versed on 0 frame typical weights. The Titantic barrels look to have been cut, and now at 28" mic right at .651-.650. I don't think this constriction has much length. The rib has a wonderful nice taper to it. The gun dates to 1905, but not in the SN&ID book and when I check against available records, it reads that none exists. I was not able to check current weight. I am wondering at what length they originally left Parker? Many Thanks Brett |
The heaviest 16 I have is a 30" One frame, at 3lbs 8oz.

That's what the math indicates, roughly best guess 32". I looked up the 93 in the book also, which makes me wonder if this one with no records is amoungst those? I guess we will never know.
