My first Dan Lefever
5 Attachment(s)
Stopped in Cabela's today and found this nice HE grade 12 gauge with 30" barrels. 80% case color, wood is clean and the barrels have great finish. Not a high grade but the nicest original Dan I have seen so welcome to your new home!

Nice gun. Get the catalog for these from the Lefevers Collectors, it's a fascinating read. Your gun has a strong straight grain European walnut , cocking indicators, safety disable, factory 2 3/4" chambers, threaded ball hinge pivot and forend compensation. It has all the Lefever features except the external trigger sear adjustment screws.
Enjoy. They are interesting and fine shooting guns. |
Very nice! I have owned 2 Gs, an H and a DS. They were all 12s with extractors. I regret selling most of them, especially the Gs. The DS was very heavy and not my idea of a 6 to 8 hour a day grouse gun! My H had perfect twist barrels and did not have any engraving, aside from the Lefever name. They are jewels. Enjoy!

Very nice example of a late production H grade. I think you will enjoy it very much.

Ditto what Steve just said. You don't see too many H grades with ejectors and fluid steel barrels.
Real nice find. Congrats. |
Nice gun, bad move on buying a Lefever. They will ruin your gun budget and could even diminish your interest in Parkers. Trust me on this, I know as I have experienced this first hand!!! :-)

Very nice gun. I am enjoying all your finds. Thank you for sharing them with us.

reminds me of my 1892 G grade. Lefevers are prime examples of American workmanship! I don't think you'll be the least bit disappointed. Enjoy!

Very nice find. Enjoy.

Lefever
Sold a Lefever Damascus EE Buck Hamlin had redone about 5 years ago to buy another Parker and I've been sorry ever since.
