A little help on a PH 12ga

I am looking at the following gun, PH 32", Special Steel, #2 frame in pretty darn nice shape. Serial number is 205,821 and there are no records. The gentleman just wants a fair price for the gun but the condition being pretty nice makes it tough for me. What do you think,? I know the old story "if its worth it to you then buy at a price your comfortable with" but give me a little more than that.

If you don't want to openly comment shoot me a PM.

Thanks

Brian H

I don't like the pad but otherwise...a PH with steel barrels is fairly hard to find, and the gun looks nice. The wood looks like it's been refinished, too.

Minimum $1500...probably tops at $2500....

Is that a line of engraving above the forend on the left side???

Brian Hornacek 01-02-2016 09:08 PM

i believe that is a wear line on the bluing

i think what you see on the left is just a scrape,

I agree the wood is likely refinished-

without knowing the price - PH are nice, but don't seem to bring top dollar

with all that said =nice gun - i you think the price is fair- go for it

Wood refinished. Forend oversanded and is below metal.

But maybe i am just nit-picking.

good catch, forearm is a replacement from an ejector gun

The feedback on the PH was interesting. As a newcomer to parkers ( got my first 18 months ago ) I am learning. I always am interested in what the members think of a gun. I did not notice the oversanded forearm, but when back to the pics and got it. When I look at or handle a Parker I look for the positive and not what is wrong with it as I should.
