30" 20 gauge VH

Anyone here pick up the 30" 20 gauge that was on Gunbroker?.....almost bid on it myself but I just bought a 20 gauge Fox and was feeling guilty about buying another so soon. Should have waited and got the Parker! Looks like it went for a very good price and congratulations if someone here got it.

I've always believed in long barrels on a fowling piece, it's just the way things should be done. I never had anybody complain about my barrel so I don't think I'm compensating for anything. *wink*

Speaking of long barrels ...Cabela's has a VHE-16, 0 frame two barrel set. I love the gun and the 28" barrels. Its at 6lb-2oz sweet The 2nd set is 32" and the gun is 7lb-1oz....heavy and long for my tast....the realy bad isue is thier price tag!!!!8400.00 but it is realy nice shape! The reason I like the 16ga guns is they hit like a 12 but carry like a 20. It defeats this reason after about 6lb-10oz.....might well carry a 12!, some are under 7lbs. If the price was about 5900.00 I would consider it. Would make a nice grouse/turky gun and waterfoul with proper ammo. thanks all SXS ohio....(-:

Kenny,
I've looked at the Cabela's gun and it's not in as nice of shape as you think. I took a trip to Sidney just to look at the gun. When I walked into the gun library and spotted the gun in the rack, I was immediately turned off by the barrel dents you could see standing ten feet away.

This is just another example of Cabela's missing the mark on price structure. If the gun was priced right it wouldn't have been sitting in the rack in Sidney for well over a year now.

I was in the Sydney NB Cabelas recently. They had few Parkers and the prices were laughable.
