Parker Reproduction with Q1/Q2 Barrels

1 Attachment(s)
Any idea how rare the Q1-Q2 barrels are?

I am thinking very hard about selling my Parker Reproduction (just spent all my cash on a new garage and driveway paving) and with the holidays coming, selling this beautiful, shotgun would put my bank account back on black...for a little while anyways...:rotf:

Any ideas on what this gun should sell for?
I see the 20 ga DHE models selling from just under $4k to well over $5k and it seems a lot of the ones on the market are single trigger.

Some of the specs:
Double triggers, Beavertail forend, straight grip, 26" barrels Q1/Q2
As far as measurements, as far as I can tell the LOP is between 14 1/4 and 14 1/2 inches depending on where I hold the tape measure. There doesn't seem to be any cast off to the stock, but I can't be sure about that.
The wood on this gun is exceptional as commented on by Mr. Skeuse from this forum (posted pics on here when I first bought it) Link to that thread is here:

I'm still on the fence about selling but wanted to throw out the "value" question to all the Parker experts on here to see what I might ask should I decide to sell.

Judgeing by the pictures of the wood on your gun & the beavertail forearm. I would lean closer to the 5k range for value. When you throw in the double triggers it becomes a seldom encountered configuration.

If it were mine I would start by asking over 5k. You have a really nice repro there.

Keep it....you will be bummed after the cash is gone again! SELL ANYTHING BUT THE GOOD STUFF......(-: SXS ohio If you must sell it the 5K number is spot on. It would make a perfect skeet gun with very nice wood to show off on the line.

Double trigger guns with beavertail fore-ends and straight stocks have been the most desired of the reproductions as of late.
I too, believe $5,000 is about the asking price. Good luck ever replacing it.
Dang, Walt.......can't you sell a brother-in-law's car or something else?
If I shot this gun, it would be a very hard thing for me to sell!

Thanks all for the replies! While happy that my Reproduction's value is higher than expected  I am very much on the fence about selling it. I know, too, that I'd probably, never be able to replace it.

Looks like it's back in the safe for now...Perhaps a quiet, holiday with fruitcakes sent out as gifts will the order of the season! :rotf:

An excellent decision!

Yup,......I would hang onto this and not sell. Very difficult to replace. May take a long time to find another as nice, especially with double triggers. KEEP IT !!!

Good decision! I have a 28 ga. just like yours, also with Q1 & Q2 chokes and the wood is the same too.
I don't think I'll ever sell mine - it's just too 'me'. It is perfect for those "little russet fellers" in my avatar.

Additionally, when Winchester / Kodensha stamped barrels with Q1 and Q2 ....

What are the actual choke dimensions / constrictions ?

P.S. Gorgeous gun Walt.

Kenny Graft 10-20-2014 06:55 AM

I have 3 gauges in Q1/Q2 .003/.006 is the norm with my tool. SXS ohio My 16 set is .004/.006
