Case Colors and Loisville

I have a Parker SBT at Brad Bachelders that he is cleaning up, and considering having the case colors done. Brad will be at Louisville gun show this weekend with some sample's based on opinions from our membership of correct colors. Are any of you guys going, and can you take a look and see if you think the colors are close? I am not looking for a lengthy report, just a:clap:or a :nono:

My $ is on the applause- Cheers not Jeers

Yesir- Brad had planned to bring his Father and Son labs out to the FruitRidge Farms Hunt club this Saturday 20th feb- for a Tower pheasant shoot, but when I saw him last weekThursday- he had to cancel as he and Lori will be at the Lousiville show. I saw a few of the Parkers he'll be taking for display- breathtaking indeed

Brad and I have been friends for years, besides a great wingshot who appreciates the dogs and their part in a hunt, he is also a top ranked Skeet shooter- and IMO, a master craftsman

So, whomever will be in Louisville KY this coming weekend, look up brother PGCA member Brad and his gracious wife Lori--you won't be disappointed in the Parkers you see--guaranteed!!

Francis, Holy cow man. The guy just wanted to know if anyone was going to Louisville.
Follow the yellow brick road, follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road.

Gee whiz Toto- we aren't in Kansas anymore-

OK- point taken Dave. I'm one of those real old school guys- when i can endorse a long-time friend who happens to be a master gunmaker, I am pleased to do so. But if it 'rings your chimes' I'll go back and delete the hunting/shooting/sharing with Vets who otherwise can't get out Parts. See you at lapeer in April- if you still have that 12 Hammer (oops- my faux pas- we can't sell or advertise Parkers here- just certain parts)--:banghead::banghead::duck:

Dean Romig 02-17-2010 01:11 PM

You're a good sport Francis

Dave Miles 02-17-2010 01:45 PM

Francis,
No need to delete anything.
Just ribbing you and your long winded reply.
It's winter and I'm bored.
Yes, I still have the hammer gun, want me to bring it?

Francis Morin 02-17-2010 01:49 PM

Right back attcha Dean (and a sidewise segue to Dave Miles)

Appreciate that Dean- I have many accquaintices I guess, but at my age now, not so many close friends, so I do get a tad "over-boardy" about them. So many guys I used to hunt, fish, shoot (pool and clays) play poker, etc- all gone- no one ever said life was 100% fair in that regard-

I still owe you a bottle of good Irish Whiskey (or as Tullamore Dew has a tad of the Highlander influence I surmise, as they prefer to spell it Whisky) just promise me you'll drink it on the rocks, maybe a splash of branch water- but no ginger ale in my Jamieson pls.--:bigbye::nono::bigbye:

Gentlemen,

It appears cabin fever has set in, this has been a long winter. I think tonight I will break out the Famous Grouse and have a drink with my friends.

Francis Morin 02-17-2010 02:08 PM

Larry, Curly and Moe??" naaw- too easy

Great idea- and I'll gladly swap you two fifths of Famous Grouse for a fifth of Bushmills and a pint of Wild Turkey Honey-

Are any of those handsome feather finder's brother/sister relatives? Reminds me of my now long gone Lleuwellin- Molly- FDSB Molly behan malone out of a Mississippi Zev nick-I don't hunt grouse or woodcock nowadays, but still remember- and my old now gone hunting partner- nicknamed the GR Dog Broker- as he was a bit like Milt Throcker in TNB's great tale "The Great Reprisal"- tried to tell me that working her on pheasants would mess her up for the much trickier Sir Ruffs- not so- but we both missed our share over her rock solid points- and she was a natural retriver too-
