There's a new Virgin in Town . . .

. . . and I just got lucky!

It's a rare opportunity to be given the chance to purchase a consecutive numbered gun to one you already own. Especially when it has been reported that there were only 125 of that particular model ever produced. I've owned Sporting Clays Classic S/N 12-1549 for several years now and it is the most versatile gun I own and the only SG, SPL, DT Sporting Clays Classic model that I've ever come across in over a quarter of a century of looking at them. That is, until this virgin -- an unfired and untouched, new in the case, best ever found, never had a screw turned (where's Tom Gibbons when I need him?) Sporting Clays Classic S/N 12-1548 became available through auction out of a large Repro collection that had been residing in California. She, too; is a SG, SPL, DT gun with a 14 3/4" LOP to her shapely skeleton butt.

Congrats, now will you de flower her or keep her "intact"?

Very nice!

And you need (want) 2 of them because? Are you going to England to shoot driven birds with a loader? It's for sure a beautiful gun and perhaps good to squirrel away as an investment. Don't shoot it!

How much did it go for, if I may ask?

Lady Luck strikes again!

Here's to you, you WILD and CRAZY and might I add LUCKY guy!

The luck is being widely distributed these days; CONGRATULATIONS!

Is this fun or what?

Thanks Rich. My plan is to keep her in her present new unfired cherry condition by not deflowering or molesting her. Hopefully, my 18-month-old Grandson Kane will appreciate that someday.

I bought the gun as a speculative investment and to pass down to my one and only grandson someday.

I don't see any upside to posting how much I paid for it in a public forum. (If you'd like to know please PM me). I can say that I paid enough for it, but I was willing to go higher if needed. If you think I paid too much, please show me another NIB SCC configured the same that has a consecutive S/N to 12-1549.

Greg,

I bought a NIC SCC last year.

It's s/n is ...12-01515.

It's a PG, BTFE with stunning wood.

Kenny Graft 06-20-2014 07:23 AM

Hi Greg....you did good! Dt guns like it are very scarce!!!,, and that effects the price for sure. A good gun in hand is better than any worthless govt. paper and part of a well diversified investment plan.....plus you get to enjoy owning it, good job. SXS ohio
