What are you paying for powder?

Guys/gals, for those who reload, what kind of prices are you paying just for powder? PB and 7625 are my main powders. If you use those, what are you paying per pound? How about for 8 pound cans?

At Shyda's in Lebanon PA, 169.00 plus tax for 8lbs.

$24.95 for 14 oz of PB

I saw 5 1 lb bottles of 7625 at a recent gun show @$27/bottle--almost bought all of it even though I don't use it--figured I could sell it to friends (no profit)
Saw 8 lb of PB at Buckeye Outdoors near Columbus, OH last weekend @ $169.
You do know that both are being discontinued.

IMR 7625, 4756, and PB are being re-branded as Hodgen.

PB has already been rebranded as Hodgdon. An 8 pounder I got last month had a mfg lot date of 1/23/2014 and was labeled "Hodgdon" - with no mention of "IMR" as in the past. It also was labeled "Made in Canada" ..... no doubt made at the former IMR Powder plant that's now owned/operated by General Dynamics.

But has anyone seen 7625 or 4756 in containers that were labeled Hodgdon and not IMR? I haven't.

Of the three named (PB, 7625 and 4756) I personally believe PB probably had/has the highest demand. Could it be that Hodgdon relented on discontinuing PB but is going forward with its plans to discontinue marketing 7625 and 4756?

Good question Chromax.... I know for pistol powders for example Hodgon HP38 and Winchester 231 are exactly the same and have identical recipes and ballistics.

i have been paying low $20s for the small bottles of the 7625, 4756, and PB when i went looking for them a few weeks back -

got a call last week from a shop where I was on a waiting list for 7625 - said he got one in - i could have it for 38 bucks - told him to keep it.
