Yeah, but we're talking Repros here. Are you saying that you've seen 70mm stamped on them before?

Never seen this before on a Repro!!!

I have one that is exactly as pictured. My Dad bought the one I now have when repos were first offered. Serial number is 28-197.

70mm

I have 3 barrels that have 70 mm on them. Two are Kreighoff but one is the 20 ga set that is paired with a kreighof, serial number p-0448 - this set is 99.9% but I hunt with it so that won't last long. That gun is pg st and the 20 set is 28 in f&m 3in chambers!

I can't say I have ever seen one with the 70MM stamping: My serial no. 28-01124 does not have it.
Interesting.

My Kreghoff 16 ga barrels are marked 2 2/4 and 70mm. The 20 ga portion of the set is just marked 2 2/4. Bill

2 2/4?

William Stevenson 03-23-2014 06:20 PM

When you are as bewildered by a computer as I am, 2 2/4 is about as close to 2 3/4 as I can get. Bill
