Very nice Thomas (even without the parasol handle)

how long are the barrels and what's the weight?

NIDs are very solid guns, a light 16 would be fun on birds

Thomas that's a very nice Ithaca:bowdown:

It belongs to a friend of mine and we have been discussing about it changing from his home to mine and over a few glasses of nice blackberry wine last night I think we have solved that issue. Thomas

Can you post some pics of the stock and the checkering? The Ithaca's are a very nice gun esp for the cost. I have had two a grade 2 16 and a 4E trap gun both I traded off for something else. I never warmed up to the trap gun but I do miss the 16.

I hope your adoption goes well:)

very nice gun thomas..how many bottles of that blackberry wine did it take to let him let yo bring that gun from his house to yours.. charlie

Charlie: I still have to go over and do some more wine tasting and then maybe I will get to bring it home. He makes the best wine and enjoys my company so we tend to have a couple glasses if you know what I mean. Thomas

Great gun!! Hopefully, being an earlier cocking indicator NID, it will be a bit more svelt than my 1941-vintage 16-gauge 26" 4E that tips the scales at 7 pounds 2.6 ounces!!

Nice gun. Hope you get it. I have an early 16 gauge NID, 28", skt 1 & 2, light as a feather and is ideal for my grouse and woodcock hunts. It was returned to factory long ago by second owner to be restocked with more modern dimensions, unfortunately he must have been a bit of a cheapskate because he ordered afield grade stock not a #2. Nice wood and a match to forearm but plain grain and not #2 checkering. But grouse don't seem to notice.
