Ronald, you obviously do NOT know the Double Gun Journal story. It was started by Daniel and Joanna Cote in about 1990 but the first issue was a couple of years later. DGJ has NEVER been sold. Daniel and Joanna moved from their beautiful little house in the hills of Vermont and moved lock, stock and barrel to Michigan and they've been there ever since. They still own all the rights to the DGJ even though sadly, it is no longer being published. Regards, Dean . |
Thank you Dean, jeff

If Ron will let me know how much money to send him, I will send him a check for that amount. When the book arrives at his home, I'm sure he will send it to me, USPS Media Mail. He will have to wait in line to replace me as the "PGCA Curmudgeon". There are a few in front of him.

Question from a newer member.
What exactly is the “DGJ?” |
The Double Gun Journal which is no longer in publication due to budget constraints and lack of subscribers. We ALL will miss this wonderful magazine.

I am sorry. Like several of the farm publications I looked forward to receiving, either no longer exist or are downsized to the point of irrelevancy.

I’m not sure how long Daniel has had this gun for sale. At the bottom of the listing is this information:
A MESSAGE TO ALL WHO HAVE ORDERED THE "INDEX & READER VOLUME 3": The Double Gun Journal Index & Reader Volume 3 (456 page hardcover) will be published and shipped by the end of March 2025. The pre-publication rate of $135 Ppd. to U.S.A. will remain in effect until March 15, 2025. If you haven't ordered yours, please call us. Ken |
I spoke to Daniel a few days ago.
He still has the 20ga Trojan for sale. Sounds like a very original gum |
Fingers crossed it happens. . . .
|
