It's not about the shots or birds bagged. ANY excuse to be in the woods with a good dog and a fine gun is reason enough and it sure beats a treadmill in the exercise department.:rotf:

As I've gotten older "being there" has become pleasant for sure, but I'd still occasionally like to shoot at something flying by. I've carried a gun for grouse two times in my life and still have yet to actually see one alive. I killed a duck the first time I ever went, I think that speaks volumes. Heh.....

This trip is right around the corner! Is everyone else as excited as I am? Mills, do we need to do anything as far as a Georgia hunting license, or are we covered by Morrison Pines? I'm headed out to Vegas for the Antique Arms Show the weekend prior to this trip. January looks to be a promising month already.

They should be able to set you up, license wise.

Mike, an earlier post explains that a preserve license is $12, available at the club. By the way, Rich, who made your 2" 16s? Are they RSTs?
|
I am MORE than ready. The year ended with nothing but bad news and tragic events. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather as winter has come in a big way here.
Bill the 2 inch 16's were from New Era Ammunition and are roll crimped paper. Brian made up several cases for a client in Hawaii and I got some of the overruns. |
Hope all is well up there Rich and hope 2015 is better. If your experience is anything like ours, Morrison Pines will do you a lot of good

Planning on bringing my new Fox Sterlingworth 20 and one of the Parker 20's.
|
So far my battery is Gunner's Gun, both 28's, Fox 410 and an English 16ga hammergun. This is all subject to change of course:whistle:
