Here are a couple of pups that won the People's Choice Award a couple of years ago at the Annual Meeting in South Carolina. This is a 32" Damascus AHE 16ga. Again, as fine as it gets.

I love deep relief engraving on a Parker. I'd sure like to see the letter on that gun!
|
Yeah, Josh, the letter would be interesting to us.
|
A few photos added to this post of guns with dogs from the Bill Murphy Collection would be interesting to us?

Josh thanks for some great photos. You guys get the best guns. I'm at pheasant fest in Milwaukee. There is an anime convention next door and if bill doesn't post photos of his guns that we hear so much about I'll post photos of the 250 lb girl with pink hair dressed as little bo peep and with lips sewed shut. We are busy exhibiting guns but we feel like anthropologists

Bruce,
Apparently threats don't work, but for the greater good please don't subject the rest of us to such a picture. The brief description made me cringe. Erick |

Some new dogs!

Looks like the Cowan gun.
|
No, this is a 12 ga. It does have similar engraving. They are only 21 numbers apart.
|
Thanks Harry. Those last four look like Joseph Loy's dogs. Very nice pictures - Thank You!
|
Jeff and Bill, take a look at page 28 of Parker Pages, the Autumn 2013 Issue for another very close comparison - ser. no. 125728 .

I love that lifter...I need to get one of those:bowdown:

This is one of my favorite set of dogs on a Parker gun. I am partial to setters but the pointer on this gun is just a stud. Mint very late Remington DHE by Mr. Runge I think.

I agree that is Runge's work Patrick.

Not a Parker but I think very nice dog's...

I especially like the posture of that pointer Brian, but perhaps most of all I think the artist's use of negative space really focuses the viewer's eye on the subject of the entire vignette - the dog.
