Blonde vs 410

It'll cost you less in the long run too. Cheers, Tom

Have you ever tried reloading those stinking little .410 hulls. I'll take the blond, thank you!

I talked with my friend who facilitated my purchase of this gun and it turns out that it is the gun that was being "peddled" at Brimfield, MA. just about 15 miles North of the Ct state line. Google Brimfield Tornado to see the destruction from the June 2011 tornado.

hmmm, thats interesting Dean

the hammer gun I passed on at an antique show two years ago, the one that got me started here, was sold the very next week at a large antique show at

wait for it

Brimfield -- been telling my wife we should go to that one.

Could it be the same gun?

no Dean, that one was a 12 bore O grade.

just thought it was funny another should show up at the same place within a couple years. I just hope I don't run into everyone else there next year :rotf:

I just finished cleaning the bores and what I thought was crud and rust scale turned out to be just that and they cleaned up very nicely. There is a minimal amount of very shallow pitting but it really isn't worth a second look... very clean in my opinion. I have no reservations on shooting this 2 5/8" 'chambered for brass' Parker.

Now just some brass a little black and the fun begins.

I'm here to report: Deans Gun is a Clay Buster.

Dean Romig 09-30-2012 07:37 AM

Edgar is absolutely right!!

When I do my part those clays just disappear and a small cloud of dust remains in their place.... but at 9# and a very good whallop to my shoulder which sends a shock wave through the rest of my body I think I'll stick to the 16 or 28 for October and Novermer in the uplands and save the big 10 for turkeys in the spring.

I turned in my 12 ga. scorecard to the Fox team yesterday and went out and shot the 10 later.... I should have burned my 12 ga. card and turned in the card for the 10

...but neither would have qualified in the top five anyway.
