Last year the night I got down there I nearly completely lost my voice. Sore throat and congestion. I could hardly talk the 4 days I was down there. This year, similar. Came down with a sore throat the night I arrived and it persisted the whole time I was down there. Cleared up a day or two after coming home. Not nearly as bad as last year though.

I am convinced that I have developed some sort of allergy to something in the air down there. Something I had not issue with in prior years. Next time I will be dosing myself with zyrtec starting a week or two before going down.

This southern air is rough if your not used to it.

I take Zyrtec every day and have been for several months because of a chronic post-nasal drip which causes me clear my throat continuously. Dorothy and I tested for Covid a week before we left for the Southern and we were both negative.

The pollen kicked my ass in Virginia for several weeks before heading to Sanford and it was no better for me atleast down there . Back in Virginia this week it seems to have lessened somewhat ,

The hard wood pollen is the dominant pollen this time of year. The pine pollen starts the season. The hardwood pollen is the last to blossom.

Here is Neil McInnis, high gun in the qualifying rounds, shooting at the Krieghoff Masters at the Forest City Gun Club today. It was great to see a fellow PGCA member at our local club

Mills, what gun is Neil shooting in that pic?

The Southern is always a good time even if the weather wasn't the best. I broke my buying string however. For almost 20 years I have always bought at least one gun and this year I sold one and bought nothing:shock:

Weather was great for shooting until Sunday. Rains came Sunday during shooting hours. We shot first thing in the AM and it wasn't raining hard, but the harder stuff was coming. We shot the Main and the Hammer Gun Challenge and were on the road by 10:30.
