Not at all surprised, John. In fact, if I know Lou that one was probably sold by the second or third call from his black book. Most likely exhumed from a very luxurious "closet" located somewhere between Darien and Greenwich.

It just seems to be an odd statement that someone was willing to pay more than the posted price, when no price was posted.

Sad thing is that gun will probably never be shot or know the joys of sitting in a gun rack at the Southern SxS

At any shoot Ed. That gun will probably be a closet queen if it was even actually sold.

It is a mystery to me that this gun sold quickly when the "Cliff Green Guns", just as interesting, or more so, are still unsold after being on the market for years.

Dean: April 2nd is what I see maintained as the date, with Jay's last post on the thread dated a couple of weeks ago.

It is in the Non-PGCA Shooting Events....section, in the thread entitled "3rd Annual Southern RI Parker Shoot".

I think this is my first post but I’ve been a member for awhile. Yes, my dear friend Don McQuade and I will be at the shoot in Rhode Island and I will bring the CSMC/Remington/Parker AAHE 28 gauge for anyone to see and examine it. I do know some of the history of that project. Don and I took advantage of a fine day yesterday in Madison to shoot it, along with Don’s Parker 16 and his Baker SBT. Followed by cigars and bourbon (and Scotch when the bourbon ran dry) by the fireplace. A great day. Looking forward to Rhode Island.
