Widely different chokes, such as cylinder, or skeet, in bbl one, and tight, as in mod or full in bbl two, paired with double triggers is as close to nirvana as you can get in a field gun, in my humble opinion, of course.
I have a 32" BHE 12 gauge with 6k first bbl, an 40k in the other. This gun is like arsenic on pheasants! |

March was good to me also 3 new pistols and an old friend that will be delivered by FedEx today! I am anxiously waiting! Gary

Gary, it will be good to see that one back "home".

I'd like to acquire a 410 hammer gun with 30 inch barrels. Perhaps Sanford will give up such a prize.

Shot the GH at the gun club last night and it did just fine. Will take it turkey hunting this weekend

Rich, I have a steel barreled 410 hammer gun made by Charles Hellis & Sons but its 28" Full&Full
|
Charles Hellis is a good maker. 30's will be tough to find but they are out there. Most of them I've seen are 26 and whippy. The full chokes wouldn't pose a problem. What are the dimensions? Perhaps a motivational picture:rotf::rotf:

I will get you a photo and specs by tomorrow, Gary
