Austin always told me this one was his favorite Parker. Grade 5 Titanic hammer. Gary and John, you will have to control yourself.

Josh, great idea.

I would love to, but some how all my old pic of everything disappeared during the divorce, along with a lot of other stuff.

it was a 64 MKIII, originally black with red interior, but when I restored it I did the body in a dark cream BMC color, and kept the inside red. Sold it when the first kid came along, although I did use some of the proceeds to buy my first SxS - a Fox 12 ga brush gun.

1891 CH 10 damascus/ 12 Bernard two barrel set, given to me years ago by Austin Hogan, for which I remain grateful. This gun was ordered to be patterned with Wood's powder, an early smokeless powder.

Photo 2, added for Calvin.

Mark, Dogs headed for the birds behind the hammer that is neat. VERY nice gun.

Bruce, you gotta show them the trigger bow.

Rich Anderson 01-13-2013 04:42 PM

I believe you've all seen this. 32" DHE, 1928.

Mark Conrad 01-16-2013 08:30 AM

The CHE is in the 241,1xx range and is one of the last CHE's made. I found the engraving to be excellent for a very late Remington gun. It also has a checkered SST which is hard to find.

Mark

Mark, Fast cars and women, have gotten me in trouble in the past! but Parkers never! well I confess, I do occasionally have to fess up to what I paid for some of them, Glad you are enjoying yourself, hold it dead ahead, Gary

Reggie Bishop 01-16-2013 11:57 AM

1959 or 60 fuel injected Corvette. Nice car and nice guns on this thread!

Bill Murphy 01-16-2013 12:03 PM

Nice catch on the fuel injection, Reggie. I can't tell the difference between the 58, 59, and 60 any more. Maybe Mark could tell us. My Dad's '58 was the opposite color combination of the pictured car, truly the ugliest color combination of any Corvette, and one I haven't seen except in front of our house. Silver with a red bullet.

Reggie Bishop 01-16-2013 12:06 PM

58 has the waffle hood and the chrome strips on the trunk lid. 59 & 60 there is no difference. Exterior wise that is, that I know of.

Bill Murphy 01-16-2013 12:37 PM

My Dad paid $1800 for his '58, sold it back to the gentleman who sold it to him for the same price, about a month after I got my driver's license in 1961. It was probably a wise move on his part. My next chance at a Corvette was when my ex brought home a '68 427 for me to sell for a fellow worker at her office. The price was the same as my Dad's '58, $1800. It was the most frightening car I have ever driven except for a Griffith. I might have bought it, but the lack of power steering made me think that resale might be a problem. It sold pretty quickly.

A CHE16

Richard Flanders 01-16-2013 09:28 PM

I can vouch that the Bernard CHE10 that Bruce posted pics of is a deadly quail gun. Bruce reloads shells with just one pellet + filler and makes neck shots on quail going mach 1.5! True story...I have the quail in my freezer that proves it!

George M. Purtill 01-16-2013 10:28 PM

Oh Rich- that is gorgeous!!

calvin humburg 01-17-2013 06:08 AM

Richard is correct, when that bird went by me all I hit was con trails. And at that speed and distance Bruce still able to make sure he was a Bob cause we don't shoot hens:).

charlie cleveland 01-17-2013 11:47 AM

i can vouch for ch he can tell a bob from a hen every time...and i can see ANNIE OAKLY has got problems there somebody else out there that can do head shots.. charlie

Not Parker engraveing but my favorite dog on a Parker....Gunner

Gary Carmichael Sr 01-20-2013 08:34 AM

Rich ,that,s a special gun, hope to have one made when Miss mattie leaves this earth, to roam the fields of heaven. Gary

calvin humburg 01-20-2013 08:49 AM

Better talk quite COB your new dog might here you.

Rich Anderson 01-20-2013 04:46 PM

CH I don't have a new dog and no dog will ever replace the place I have in my heart for Gunner. If I ever get a new dog and they are half the dog he was I'll be forever gratefull.

Gary do it now befor Mattie meets Gunner.

calvin humburg 01-20-2013 06:38 PM

Sorry

Rich Anderson 01-20-2013 06:43 PM

Calvin perhaps you referring to my posts with Daisy. She is 7 and while an excellent dog that I'd put up aganist any other Gunner was in a league of his own. No reason to be sorry. Someday I hope to get out west with dasiy and perhaps a young upstart to chase birds in the wide open praries.

Fred Preston 01-20-2013 06:48 PM

Rich, You can't replace the irreplacable; however, a successor is not a bad idea. In my case, Ringo has gone where all good dogs go: and, the young Shorthair, the present object of my affections, is coming on and making his own bones.

Thought it would be nice to talk Parker Shotguns again and share this pup. If you like Brittany's this is as good as I have ever seen on a Parker.

Angel Cruz 02-13-2014 02:05 PM

That's the best one ever!!! Thanks Josh!!

Dean Romig 02-13-2014 02:09 PM

Wow! That's wonderful Josh! I bet Mr. Frey would like to have that gun.

And a rabbit too... that's great!

Will that one be in the March auction

Josh Loewensteiner 02-13-2014 02:18 PM

Dean- The above Brittany is not a gun that is currently for sale. The owner, for obvious reasons, cares very deeply for the gun. The pup below is, however, going to be coming out of the kennel on March 12 in Fairfield, Maine....

charlie cleveland 02-13-2014 02:40 PM

Angel Cruz 02-13-2014 03:44 PM

Nice!!!!

David Dwyer 02-13-2014 06:17 PM

Josh
What is the grade of the first one? A?
David

Larry Frey 02-13-2014 07:09 PM

Sorry wrong gun.

Chuck Bishop 02-13-2014 07:30 PM

Josh, that Parker with the Brittany and rabbit on the floor plate is the nicest floor plate I've ever seen although the full size dog is a close second. What does the rest of the engraving look like?
