It was a difficult weekend for all those who attended the wake and service for our friend Austin. In a way, it was good to see him one last time and be able to share with others our fondest memories of this incredible man. Those that spoke at his service did a wonderful job including our own Dean Romig and John Dunkle. Many who posted to this thread had a part as well because John felt that using some your reply's gave his family and friends a little better idea of how he affected so many people thru his friendship and his writings in the Parker Pages. His service to his community was displayed by the honor paid to him by the Fire Department that he was so active in and an Honor Guard plaid Taps and presented Pam with a flag for his service to our country. This all took place in a 200+ year old New England church and was one of those events that really makes one think about what’s really important in life.
