I'm just getting back from Grouse Camp and was ready to ask how your shotgun got broken...it looked like the barrels seperated and were lying one on top of the other in the grass....but you explained in a round about fashion how you grabbed the wrong gun. I know how it is when the sleep is still in your eyes so I won't mention the abnormal way your barrels are aligned:whistle:

"Fence post", "push-pole", "Tomato stake", "Canoe paddle", "Pry bar",... many names have been applied over the decades.

We are probably not being very kind, the kind of gun in his picture is useful in that has a similiar purpose as a cross over stock, only in this case the gun was built to accomodate a shooter who has one eye over the other. :)

So I joined Green Mountain Shooting Preserve today and Star and I went on our first hunt there. I hope my choice of shotgun this time bails me out of the previous picture with my dreaded “O/U”. My 1929 VH 20 Ga on a 0 frame.
