Mr. Bishop Sir,
I can't say anymore than what has already been said. I know that is has been a labor of love to put forth all the efforts as our letter writer and researcher. The hardest part of your accomplishments has been the digitizeing of the rocords making life easier for the future. Now for some memories. Shultzes crab shack,
Cafe Vesuvio, Cacciatore's,Twigs, Carlisle L.C. Smith lunch Hall of Fame and Annual meetings. All of the Clay's ranges from Addieville to Georgetown. Especially Hummelstown, Rock Mountain, Carlisle,The Southern. Remember the last letter tell Margaret hi and a big thank you

It's members and leaders like yourself which has built the PGCA into this unique and special organization. We are entering into a time period for the next generation to assume control and set the course for the next 25 years. I have appreciated & enjoyed each letter you have sent and your commitment to continuing on the legacy and lore of the Parker Gun. Thank you,

I guess it's my turn. It has truly been a pleasure and a learning experience having worked closely with Chuck over the last 5 years. He was sort of patient with me while I was learning how to decipher the hieroglyphs in the record books and even when I'd forget to add a bit of info to a letter. He helped me develop the process and I thank you Daddy for being my mentor and friend. Every group loses folks through attrition. The aging out process takes so many good guys and gals out of circulation that are difficult to replace. Aging out is bad enough, but when there is a health issue that restricts you from doing what you have come to love is the hardest part. I can personally attest to the difficulties you endured just typing let alone re-digitizing all of the stock books so we could have access to ALL the data on each page. You truly went above and beyond the call to leave us in better shape than when you assumed leadership. We'll be in good hands with Al at the helm. There's a learning curve but with his background as a curator he'll be running on all cylinders in no time. Thanks again Daddy for all you have done for us as an organization and for those of us who are blessed to be able to call you "friend".

Thanks Mike and thank you everyone for the kind words. I'm still around and willing to answer any questions people may have.

Al Houde will be taking over for me and I’m sure he’s going to do a great job. All I ask is that you give him a little time to get up to speed. Try and hold off sending multiple requests for letters for the time being. One at a time would be appreciated. When I close my PGCA P.O. Box, the post office will forward the mail to Al for 1 year so there will be an additional delay in getting your letter back. He will have Mike Koneski as his backup and I’ll always be available to help too. John Dunkle will be revising the online Research Letter form to give the new mailing address and e-mail address on the form. Mary Bowes will automatically send the online Research Letter form to Al. Mike Koneski will be putting a brief good bye from me and a biography for Al in the next Parker Pages.

It’s been a real honor to be your Research Chairman for the past 15 years. I’ve met, corresponded with, and made so many friends thru writing letters. It’s been fun. I look forward to seeing everyone at future shoots and get togethers as long as my health permits.
Best wishes,

Chuck

You did one hell of a great job Chuck! Thank you sooo much. I wish you all the best going forward my friend
