Not saying it’s better or worse , however the setup I got from Ken Burns screws in a press . One stroke down to resize then one stroke on the plunger to knock it out . The WIN hulls go thru easy enough unlubed the REM hulls I lube and piece of cake . Granted Burns setup is about $300 , but in the whole scheme of things that isn’t squat . Simplicity and quickness are important to me . My enjoyment out of loading isn’t what it was , not saying I don’t like it anylonger but I loose intrest a good bit quicker now .

I'm going to bore out a bushing tonight and polish it. |

I recieved the two bushings I ordered and got a few minutes to work on them. I chucked them bothe up then through drillled with a 7/8" bit and ran a reamer through set at .900. It came out good and smooth and about 15 thou too small.
Tomorrow I will either bore or ream on out to a snug fit on the smaller section of the remington head, then pollish it and use it to swage down a hull and try it. The fitting has a radius on the threaded entry, so I may need to face off one end or the other to be sure it sizes right to the rim. Could leave one tapered entry and one squared and do in two passes if hard. That may work better for fired cases to go in a new gun. |
