For young Mills, I have scored a short barrel Winchester High Wall in .219 Donaldson Wasp, built by John Oberlies of Dayton, Ohio probably in the late thirties or early forties, a great varmint killer by the best custom rifle maker of the era. Another is a near mint, 1880s Lindner Daly hammer gun, a two barrel set, ten gauge, near Diamond Quality, marked by Thomas Golcher of Philadelphia with 28" and 32" wonderful Damascus barrels. My favorite Parker this year is a unique 30" 20 gauge Trojan, lettered by PGCA in that configuration. Another is a great little Inland Steel (General Motors) M1 Carbine, given to me by a very good friend who also owns General George C. Patton's DHE 20 gauge Parker bird gun, among other Patton memorabilia.

You would be dangerous to hang out with...as my wife would say...you might expand my interests!

Garry, it's nice to be recognized for something other than my asparagus patch. Yup, I have varied interests in the gun, shooting and hunting areas, but my sixty year Parker collection is my major interest. My trip to Ilion in 1998 with the PGCA Research Committee was and is the highlight of my collecting career. I am 74 years old and still shoot three or four days a week and buy Parkers and other interesting artifacts on a weekly basis. I also shoot a box bird when I can afford them.

Bill, Keep at it, and keep posting...I like to learn(...and I have let my asparagus patch go to heck, but still like wild morels). I'm appreciative of all of those who helped codify the records and make them available. Thanks for adding to my knowledge base.

My only non Parkers were the two custom rifles which I have previously posted pictures of. Only 3 guns last year I usually can do that at the Southern!:rotf: Must be getting old

I was doing great (in my wife's eyes) no purchases and sold a couple, doing good, then Palmer had to put up that Lefever 16 ga! I was so, so close but couldn't cross the finish line..............

I have a Lefever 16 on the way, but it is not as nice as the one Eric mentions. Still, it appears to be a good, honest G grade that ought to be great for the remainder of the upland bird season.

I hope so too.

I don't get too excited about guns until they arrive and check out, but I have high hopes for this one.

Stay tuned

4 16's

E grade Lefever 16 28" steel, straight grip IC/F

Grade 3 LC 16 30" chain damascus F/F

0 Grade 16 damascus 28 F/F

Model 12 16 28" plain barrel with Modified choke

The slush fund for the next one is building slower than expected.

That Lefever E grade sounds interesting
