Boston Athletic Association emblem is the unicorn. It is mentioned in the letter. Inlaid unicorn is factory.

Hi Bill, there are some differences in the letter and what I have. I am looking for what these numbers mean and lettering in gold emblems and or shield. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ken

Those areas look like they could be areas of gold loss.

I believe that is what has happened, that some of the gold has flaked off.

The picture you posted is the serial number, the visible stamping in the next picture is the barrel weight before final striking, 3 pounds, 11 ounces.
