I gave my copy to Jim Kelly at Darlington Gun Works today as he had not received one. He and Mrs. Kelly were thrilled as was his staff. I also got a look at "The Coffee Can Parker" WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GUN RESURRECTED FROM THE ASHES AS IT WERE.

Best Regards, George

Every contributor of material for Parker Pages receives three additional complimentary copies of the issue in which his article appears. I believe the author had planned to give one of these to Jim.

Best, Dean

George,
I spoke to Mr. Kelly and Dianne today as well. It was a pleasure writing that article for PP. Glad you got to experience the " Coffee Can Parker" like I did.

Regards,
Charles Matthews

Charles and Dean: I can tell you for sure that both Jim and Dianne were thrilled with the article. After having car trouble on the way over to Darlington my day ended happily. Jim and Dianne put me onto a good mechanic in Darlington (the son picked me and my car up in the boondocks off of I-20 and delivered me to Jim's shop) and had a new water pump installed by the time Jim closed the shop. I got to see & hold the "coffee can Parker" as well. I also picked up a Fox two barrel set that he worked over for me. All in All a Good Day.

Best Regards, George

Nust had the chance to read the article on this Coffee Can Parker that was being talked about. What a great and rare gun. And true dedication by Jim to get ghe get back together. It was well worth it.

What i find interesting is the article closes by saying the gun is NOT for sale. However, i had thought the gun looked familiar since i have seen it on Gunbroker for the last couple years. So, is it for sale? Maybe the $49,000 price tag is a way of saying it is not.

Everything is for sale at a price. That was a good article.
