Kip Wood at Central Michigan Gunsmithing did the stock work. he also did Gunner's Gun and the custom Ruger #1 I have posted pics of.
I used it the last couple of weeks along with some other odds and ends for three weeks of Grouse hunting. I limited on Woodcock with her three times and scratched down a Grouse or two as well. Now we will have to see about the Pheasants. I took a bad fall with her but she escaped injury, I can't say the same about the shooter:cuss: |
Hope you're all right Rich.

Dean thanks for the thought. A rotten log gave way under my left foot and I fell landing on a solid piece of wood directly on my left knee cap. I hobbled around afterwards for a couple of days but it was painful. Finally it had had enough and started swelling. A couple of days of ice and rest has helped but it's still painful. I guess I'm to old to be hustling after a dog on point in a tag elder bottom
Mike I sold the old stock from the Fox. |
Hope you get better soon Rich. Try to follow the doctor's orders. Easier said than done, I know

My Mom always said "Gettin' old ain't for sissys!" and I'm learning that there was truth in her words.

I spoke to Dr. Jack and he said to elevate the leg and drink plenty of liquids and if I had enough liquid there would be no need for pain pills:)
Dean your Mom was right!:rotf: |
