10g ammo, 270 shells, went for $2520. The lot of 8 bore ammo got out of hand in a hurry!! $3240 for 315 shells. I can see the 8 bore going crazy as it's not the easiest thing to find, but the 10g just blew my mind!! I can sell a flat of 100 @ 2 7/8" 1 1/4 oz shells for $1500 if anyone is interested. :corn:

No, your regular license should cover it. Finding a place to hunt them will take some work. There are a couple areas of public hunting that are available. Maybe Craig will chime in here to clarify. I hunted private farms in the area in the vicinity of Blackwater. It truly is a wonderful place/area to visit and hunt.

I’ve not done it in the last few years but I used to get permits for the Blackwater during the ML and gun seasons . https://www.fws.gov/refuge/blackwate...vities/hunting You can also hunt on public land at Fishing Bay and Taylors Island , but to do much good there a flat bottom boat and motor are a real help ,

P.S.-- Eggs are better than cash.

We have plenty of hens and eggs. Cash is king!!

It was a great event, impressive collection of fine SXS! Special thanks to Randy and Stan helping me out in an unpleasant health event brought on by the revenge of an ornery oyster I think! All's well, great to have friends when you are in need on the road!

Your right Keavin, friends helping friends is what it's all about.

How about the framed tin of Old Scenter Rye with the English Setter featured. $6000!! Only a Setter could get this much.

only a setter owner would pay that much for a poster. A reproduction at that depicting a marginally utile mutt

Setter owners know class. That poster was classy. The Setter is the epitome of the upland hunting dog.:corn:

Maybe they’re the only dog owners who can afford that much? Just sayin’. BWAHAHAHA!!

A late follow-up. I had G&D hold my gun from the auction because we were traveling at the time it would have been delivered. Got it this week, packaged wonderfully and correct in all aspects of its description.

Josh, if you are reading this, I was very impressed with every facet of this auction. I especially commend Allison (not sure I spelled this correctly) who was the point person for our calls and requests regarding the gun. She was great to deal with.

It was a good experience all around, and I look forward to posting some photos of my "new" gun next bird season when it will get christened on some wild birds.

Well done, Josh...and G&D!
