Wait until you see what I did with Edgar's badges...…...
|
My email is in this thread above but for convenience here it is again: george.m.purtill@snet.net
I hate getting PMs actually. It is so slow to read and respond to them. |

Watch me get blamed for that LOL

George, you can swing by here on your way back home and save us shipping charges. I'll even shoot with you.
|
They have arrived.
Please email me if you will want yours mailed by USPS. I will have to work up a price. I will have them at the annual meeting next weekend. |
I would like you to hand deliver mine also. I will decide then if I will pay you for them. It depends how "creative" you got with them.
|
Badge Delivery
I will deliver Edgar's badges today.
All others will be delivered to the Vintage Cup and Annual Meeting next Saturday. If you are not attending the festivities next weekend, please see if a friend can grab your badge(s) for you. After the annual meeting I will mail out badges but the cost of mailing is probably equal to the badge price. Thanks |

I like the bold font for the name that you can easily read it from afar and are saved the embarrassment of trying to figure out someones name that you can't recall as you shake their hand....! Brilliant!
|
Prices
I have looked at freight costs and the different costs for the different types of fasteners and voted unilaterally to charge the same price for all types for simplicity reasons. Selfish simplicity reasons....
The price per badge is $8.00 each. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE MAILING CHARGES FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT GETTING THEIR BADGE(S) FROM ME AT THE ANNUAL MEETING. I will figure mailing charges after I get some envelopes generously donated by a member. |
George:
As my badge is being picked up at the meeting PM me your address and I will get you paid. Thanks for your efforts on this ! |
My mailing address is:
GMP 2146 Main Street Glastonbury, CT 06033 |
Glitch
I have discovered a screwup on my part.
I lost 4 badge requests. 4 members who requested badges didn't give me fastener type and I didn't follow up. When I had to sort my spreadsheet by fastener, their names dropped out. My fault. My sincere apologies. I am starting a new order thread today. |
So those of us that ordered previously do not need to reorder?
|
Quote:
Everybody else is OK. Nobody needs to reorder. FYI those 4 people were all on the same day- 4 in a row. It must have been a bad day for me. I have all 3 of your badges in my truck Mr. Hayes. |
I priced mailing today.
It will be $3.50 per package and I can put up to 3 badges in a package. |
I got mine tonight at the meeting as I am sure many others did. Thanks for doing this George.
|
I am ready to start the mailing process for those who didn't get theirs at the Annual Meeting Saturday night.
Make sure I have your mailing address in an email so my secretary can load it into our address label program. Also I need $$$$$$$. $8.00 per badge and $3.50 postage unless you ordered more than 3 badges. Then you must send $7.00 for postage. Again my email is george.m.purtill@snet.net DO NOT PM ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

|
I kind of feel like an elementary school teacher.
My address is up the thread, several times. The badges are $8 each plus $3.50 for shipping up to 3 badges unless they are magnets of which only two will fit in an envelope. |
Received today, very nice!
Many Thanks |
Thanks for the great job on the badges. I know they say "We don't need no stinkin' badges" but I disagree. They are perfect. You da' man Georgie.
|
George,
Received mine today -- thanks!! I've followed this post, and it really seems this project was an "above the call of duty" task. Thanks for your good work...and your patience with the rest of us who ordered a badge. |
It was my pleasure Garry.
I have been a PGCA member from the get go. It is an honor to help. There are so many who do much more than me. In many unseen ways. |
George, Received mine today. I greatly appreciate your effort. Thank you! Wayne
|
George,

I too see your mailing address at post #134:
Quote: My mailing address is: GMP 2146 Main Street Glastonbury, CT 06033 Really like your postal address. Just initials. You must be very well-known in the Glastonbury community. :) It reminds me of a college fraternity brother of mine, whose mother was the Postmistress of a small New Hampshire town. He addressed his letters home as follows: Mom Stoddard, New Hampshire. (Yes, back in those days people wrote letters when communicating with home.) |
Got my badge a few days ago, looks great. Thanks for doing this, I know it's a lot of work.
|
George,
I just got my pair of badges from you in the mail today. Outstanding job on your part! Thank you! Wes |
I have decided to change my name, and will be ordering new badges shortly.
