Come on Mills. With a smile like that you know that you've got to let him have it. Light l.oads though. I have SN 3481 that looks very similar to yours.:bigbye:

Best Regards, George

Neat gun with a pretty low ser. no. Are those laminated steel barrels.

Mills Morrison 09-18-2013 02:19 PM

They are Damascus barrels.

Todd Schrock 09-20-2013 02:02 PM

I just received a DH 10ga. w/ beautiful 32" Damascus bbls, PG, SF from a fellow PGCA member and a GH 12ga. W/ 30" Damascus bbls, PG, SF in original condition.

scott kittredge 05-10-2014 07:34 PM

Rich Anderson 05-11-2014 09:21 AM

Grade 1 16ga #1 frame hammer gun with 32 inch barrels....I think that was my last one it's been so long.....BUT the big brown truck is bringing another grade 1 hammer gun, this will be a #2 frame 12 w/ laminated barrels of 30 inches

Mills Morrison 05-11-2014 09:59 AM

Boy, you guys are making me jealous.

Rich Anderson 05-11-2014 10:05 AM

Mills you have achieved your dream of the 8 gauge and a goal once achieved no longer motivates. You just need to focus on a new goal say for example a nice small bore:)

Mills Morrison 05-11-2014 10:07 AM

Actually, the immediate goal is to get reloading set up, get wall thickness/choke gauges and get a duck boat. A Parker 28 gauge is on the list, though it may have to wait a little while

Bill Murphy 05-11-2014 10:10 AM

I don't know about the "goal" business, Rich. I have never had a shopping list, but somehow have four rooms in my house pretty much dedicated to guns and shooting.

Mills Morrison 05-11-2014 10:14 AM

There are "goals" and then there are the ones that come up unexpectedly and just have to be bought. Most of mine are from the second category

This is a true reflection of my situation. The last "had to be bought" for me is a DHE once owned by Sir Frederick William Borden, an important Canadian figure. The rib is factory engraved Sir Frederick Borden and supported by research letter. I have been trying to glean information on full provenance and that will take some time. I hope to write this one up for Parker Pages one day. Cheers, Jack

charlie cleveland 05-11-2014 10:37 AM

ain t one thing better than 4 rooms of gun related stuff and that is 5 rooms of stuff..i d almost bet that fellow has started on that 5th room... i hope he gets to fill it up soon.... charlie

Jack Cronkhite 05-11-2014 10:43 AM

I have finally got myself one room and it isn't all that large but it qualifies as a gun room. At the moment it is full of non-gun stuff as I am in the process of moving between residences. Guns are still in the steel tombs but they will soon enough see the light of day to be admired rather than hidden. Cheers, Jack

Dean Romig 05-11-2014 10:50 AM

I've stopped focusing on "goals" and now seek out "opportunities", which oddly, often present themselves as "missed opportunities"... :crying:

The opportunities are missed because you have no goals:rotf::rotf:

My big goal is to spend the month of October chasing Grouse with Daisy at my place in the Upper Peninsula. October seems a long ways off but it will be here shortly.

Rich Anderson 05-12-2014 06:04 PM

I have decided to keep the Grade 2 lifter circa 1880 so that's my last Parker....until tomorrow when it will be a grade 1 TL hammer gun with beautiful laminated barrels. I'm being hammered by hammer guns:rotf::rotf:

charlie cleveland 05-12-2014 08:16 PM

now you just need a hammer 10 and 8 to go with those small bores...charlie

Rich Anderson 05-12-2014 10:16 PM

What I really need is a 20ga hammer gun.
