Here’s a great lightweight, waterproof, wind proof glove that really keeps your hands warm.

The best shooting gloves for double guns are made by" GripSwell "they are not inexpensive, but are made for the SxS shooter with double leather in the barrel hans and a padded palmswell on the grip hand. They do absorb some recoil, and the heat of the barrels is definitely reduced. I have several pair! They have a web site! They come in Left or right!

Jim,
I totally agree with you on Gripswell gloves. I was under the impression that they were out of business. |

I had two pair of Gripswell and both tore in different places after one season of clays. Otherwise they are very nice.

Dang, I've had mine to Argentina twice, and they are still hanging in there!

Back to my original query. I contacted Tom Archer, author of the article where the gloves were pictured. He bought them back in the 80's and couldn't remember who the maker was. Then casting about on the web I discovered that Purdey offers a pair that look almost identical. Around $300 by the time I'd get them here. That's more than I paid for my first double gun, so I decided I didn't need them that badly :).

Phil if you watch eBay I bet you would find something very similar.
