Probably not Stan, It's not made for Sanford type targets. I have shot some sporting clays with it but mostly wobble trap.

Sounds like beautiful gun there Randy, would enjoy seeing it someday.

I did not know Daryl well, but remember him offering any assistance he could give when I bought my 8 gauge. I could tell he was a good guy

He was a super good guy! Smoked like a chimney but a great friend. Fun to talk with too - very big into airplanes and was very involved with Penn Yan Aero.

Craig, stop and think for a minute. The 8 was outlawed in 1918, for ducks. That does not mean it was not used long after that, for ducks. Remembering the outlawing of lead shot for ducks, I can assure you that it was used many years after that, and may even continue to be, for ducks. Parker had no responsibility for how the guns were used, legal or illegal.

Heck the PH 8 I have according to the Parker letter wasn’t even ordered for waterfowl ! A lumber company in the panhandle of FL ordered it for buckshot . I “assume” to shoot gators and possibly black bear as again i “assume” that was before the black bear subspecies there was endangered .

The sixteen gauge A1-SPL is a good looking gun but the min wall thickness .010, .011 would make it un shootable to me, maybe it is a typo error ? Gary
