Pudlepointers are interesting dogs. A guy over the hill from me has always had them. He does hunt them but only on game preserves. I like their looks, rugged but friendly. But at this point doubt I'll ever have anything but setters.

One last question John. What 28ga are you shooting? That's a 28 in my avatar and I just love them.

He was extremely easy to train...I really just let him do what he was made to do. Only thing i worked on was making sure he works back to a whistle, which he picked up quickly.

Woodcock have been tough to come by this year. The 28ga is a cheap Davidson, nothing fancy but I love it.
