For many years I have used Pre-Serv Gun Oil. It is good for metal, wood and even leather. I live in a very humid coastal climate area and have never had any rust issues. I have wiped guns down with it, placed in my safe and two years later they are the same as the day I put them in the safe. Sorry to say I don’t think it is made anymore. It was manufactured by a company in Woodbury CT. Fortunately I purchased a good enough supply to last me for the rest of my life!

Steve, unless you ordered the aerosol can of Ballistol you'll need to have an empty, and clean, spray bottle.

I figured I could just splash a little on a rag, etc but I’ll get one. Thx

A spray trigger from an empty window cleaner bottle will fit on the male threads of the Ballistol can.
