I don't know why people feel the need to address how someone else decides to spend their money. Value is all based upon your own individual expectations. The key to me would be how the birds flew. I find it irritating to have to kick them up, but if you get to shoot birds that flush and fly as if they are wild then it would be a helluva bargain. That's hard to find these days.

My dog would just embarrass me if I took her on such a hunt. She would run in for a quick roadside snack every time one of the horses lifted their tail. I think she likes the grains.

:rotf: My boy Nash did that while on a hunt test. It must have tasted good cause he went back for two more. They were the perfect bite size for him:rotf:

I think every dog enjoys a Road Apple from time to time, Willie will turn right around and get them while their still hot from the factory:eek:. I'm happy to have the plantation furnish the dog power, these dogs see more birds in a season than our dogs will in a lifetime. I have heard nothing but good things about Morrison Pines and I'm positive the birds will fly strong and hard, they wouldn't be in business if they didn't. I'll still bring the 410 along though.:rotf:

You usually can get some more money but not necessarily replace the memory.

I just wish I could go !!!!!!!!!!!!:crying: I would start with the 410 and then give the 28 a go !!!!!!!!!!!!! I also embarrass myself on the Golf Course so I wouldn't mind missing a few Quail in front of friends ! :)

I took a 4 day Georgia Plantation Quail trip dozen years ago. It was worth every penny spent. Watching the dogs alone makes it worthwhile. Were else are you going to see half a dozen good bird dogs working same time. I got so into the dog work couple of times rode one of the Horses instead of shooting.

Of course I did not own a Parker then

Did we lock down some dates for this yet? Are we doing the later part of the last week in January? I'm trying to make sure this gets on my Calendar before things start to book up.

YES dates are set and I thought I put them in one of the posts. I believe its the last week in Jan, arrive on Wednesday hunt a 1/2 day Wed full day Thurs-Fri and a 1/2 day Sat and depart Sat pm. I'll call them and confirm but that's what's on my calendar.

I just spoke to Jerry York at Morrison pines and these are the dates we have. Arrive Wed 1/28 for lunch and an afternoon hunt. hunt all day the 29th and 30th and a half day on 31st and depart that afternoon. The 28th is a Wednesday and the 31st a Sat. Jerry is doing this on the honor system so no deposit required:eek: he know Mills and Julia as well as Greg Phillips all of whom are members here.
I would like to give him a fairly accurate head count so they can figure meals. PLEASE PM me if you are committed to coming. This will be a great hunt and I'm already looking forward to leaving some of the MI winter behind for South Georgia.
